Looking for a new EDC

I believe Benchmade Crooked river is supposed to be coming out in 3.5 soon. If you can handle a bit longer the 0452 ZT is just an amazing knife.

That would be interesting and yeah, the ZT 0452 is an interesting knife. Would be interesting to fidget with that massive blade.

You have to try the 0452. It carries extremely light and thin. It doesn't feel at all like yoj are carrying a knife that big till the blade rockets open and you are now holding a mini-sabre.

Mini sabre huh. I wonder what the hipster sheeple in downtown Chicago would think if I started walking around with a gladius strapped to my hip...

Would the delica fit the bill? it's size seems right, it's thin doesn't shred pockets at all, and it spydie flicks pretty darn well, also has fantastic traction

Honestly, not a huge fan of spyderco. Im wondering.. think I could get custom G10 scales for a BM 940-2 that is high traction and has jimping on the thumb ramp/finger choil to make up for the non-functional benchmade jimping?

Yeah spydercos can look at little goofy. They definitely tend to go for function over looks

I've owned a PM2 and a manix 2. I can see why people like them, but frankly they just weren't for me.

I have a 940-1 and I don't complain much about the grip
For sure you have much more grippy handles out there but for what te 940 is intended IMHO the original scales work just fine

I have a 943blk and a 940-1, I think a 943-1 will be the best configuration ;)
The 940 can take a lot of use and the blade is really robust, the only thing that confuses me is the small liners it has, especially due to the strength of the blade
IMO it limits the hard use toi can expect from the 940 (even if it is. Itching like fragile, don't get me wrong :) )
That's why I am fine with the handles
It is a strong full length urban EDC which carry slim and light

As time goes I am more and more inclined to favour my mini griptilian over the 940, maybe because the small package of the mini grip seems to be just enough to serve the task those knives are made for

The ZT 0566 is a 3 1/4" Hinderer design with nice deep carry pocket clip . It's my go to EDC .

I updated my requirements, look forward to anything you guys can come up with.

+1 on the ZT 0450. Good to know that the BM Crooked River 3.5 is coming. Just might have to try one out then.
