Looking for a new fixed blade

I would really recommend to you a bucklite max large. I actually came by this knife on a camping trip with a friend of mine who had one so I tryed it out. I put it through quite a few tasks like batoning small logs for kindling, feather sticks, food prep, cutting 550 cord. and other general tasks. I was so impressed with the feel in the hand and the performance of it that I got one of my own. In my job I cut alot of boxes and tape ect. an It holds up to it all and is very easy to sharpen. But. to me the best part is that it was a sub 40 dollar Knife so I would not be apprehencive about thumping on it. it falls into all of your needs that you listed and you would be able to get yourself a custom folder or atleast a high quality one with the savings.

You should be able to get an Izula for $60, it's a great EDC that performs well with an incredible warranty.

I would look for a small custom neck knife of belt knife. they can be found well under $250.
or you could get an ESEE izula. Stay away from the ESEE 5 that thing is very heavy and very thick unless that is what you want.

I vote for the CRK Nyala.
I have three of them and couldn't have been more astonished at how well one did field dressing a white tail. The only knife that ever came close to it was an ESEE which would get my vote for runner up.

Good luck picking from so many good suggestions ;D
