Looking for a rifle in .22LR

are the auto bolt releases easy to install?
im about to install the bolt handle and mag release!
also, does anyone know how much getting the barrel threaded would cost...on average?

If you want to tinker and have a fun, accurate gun. I vote 10/22. Over the years I've had three. Sold them like an idiot and buy another. Latest is a pawn shop one that I have added a new barrel and stock with a Leupold scope I had laying around.

I am thinking about a bolt 22mag for more power at longer ranges. Have a yote problem at the farm.

That's a great looking 10/22, pinetree! I've been thinking about one with a bull barrel for some time now.

How do you like that fluted barrel? Do the flutes cut down on vibration, or just look cool? What's the muzzle brake/flash suppressor looking thing for?

Nice pistol, too. I like the bull barrel.

Henry lever action got mine about 5 years ago for under $200. Accurate and a blast to shoot.

+1 recently picked up a Henry lever action carbine from a buddy who won it at a Ducks Unlimited dinner raffle and didn't have a need. The carbine is short enough for the young ones to wield, and the lever action, with oversized "John Wayne loop" is definitely fun to shoot!! Great value for the money!

They are a simple drop in, just pay attention when you disassemble the trigger and you shouldn't have a problem.

Bolt Gun - Savage GV ( I got the GVXP ).

I actually prefer my old Marlin 7000 over my 10/22. But you can't go wrong with a 10/22. And you can build it into an ultralight for the kids with a Hogue stock and either CF or AL bll.

Between me and my 3 sons , we put between 1500-2000 rounds a month thru a variety of 22's ( a lot cheaper than shooting my 223 , 308 , 8mm and 303's ).
