Looking for a similar blade to a Spyderco Delica?

Lionsteel Opera might be close. $70+ish
Kizer Vanguards
H&K Mini Axis $85ish

I'd get one of these from RealSteel:

They'll be a bit heavier than the Delica, but they're more robust as well. Under $60 as well. The Sea Eagle (bottom) even comes with carbon fiber laminate scales.

So if you know what these knives are why don't you ask if anyone owns them. Are we to guess what they are?

Smart ass of the day. Congrats. Take everything literally. It's not so much the material it's about the weight of the blade. I'm looking for a heavier Delica which is why the pm3 doesn't fit. I like y Ontario rat 1 which has plastic handles. I don't know what specific knives fit that which is why I asked so either contribute to this thread or don't bother posting

Just general edc here, breaking down cardboard, opening packages, cutting through ropes and cordage, other light duty tasks.

The FRN Delica can EASILY handle a lifetime of tasks like this. So will a $12 Opinel. So will any Victorinox SAK. So will my Case peanut. Save your dough. Instead, buy a 12-pack and a great steak to grill.

The para 3 is pretty much a Delica with a stouter blade, better scales, and different lock. If you wanted a beefy Delica that's what you should get but I think you said no Spyderco in the OP so how about giving a CS Triad lock knife a go. I have a Finn Wolf coming, the internet tells me it's a pretty great knife for less than 40.

I like your point ;)

HK 14716 Mini Axis.

Like the Delica, it has a 2.875 inch blade and weighs in at just under 3 ounces.

The HK adds G-10 scales, masterfully done D2 steel and the Axis lock.

It's quickly become one of my all-time favorite knives.

Yup. I took what you said literally. Like I said, why make us guess if you know all these knives that fit what you want? You said it. Stand by it. What are these knives you are taking about. Maybe someone could give you some advice if you were specific about these knives.

....All Stainless Steel Classic Delica 4, of course.
B.T.B. 😀

Exactly what I was thinking. If OP likes the Delica, but not the FRN, and is willing to spend a little more but still keep it well under $100, the SS Delica is the perfect solution.

This does seem to be the obvious choice given the OPs preferences and criteria.

Aftermarket scales solved those issues.

If that is not what you want.
Then a PM3.

Scales wouldn't solve the issue. I really like the Delica, I use it quite a bit, but I usually carry it only if I'm wearing gym clothes or khakis because it's so lightweight. What I'm looking for is a similar knife in terms of blade size and the slim profile. The kershaw leek felt too delicate to me so I sold it, native 5 was overkill for my needs and so I wanted a Delica that's just beefier for heavier duty tasks, slapping g10 scales onmy Delica won't really improve my situation. When I said g10 scales, I was referring to that stereotypical knife, better durability, a little more heft in the hand, and a good locking mech

Assuming you have bumped your budget, Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 or Benchmade Mini Griptilian.

If I (or he) responded to all of the suggestions that were outside of the OPs realm it would be a much longer thread. I'll take a shot at this one though since CS has come up multiple times (not picking on you jazub). If the Native 5 was over kill for him, and as he states in the OP "the back lock was a bit too stiff for me", then I think the recon 1 or any tri-ad lock old or new will be overkill and too tough for him. I find the Native being a problem sort of wierd as my 10 year old daughter has no problems with hers. Perhaps it was a bad example

I know plenty of knives with g10 that are in my price point.

People are just stabbing in the dark JD and you aren't giving much feedback. If you really want help with this it would sure be nice of you to narrow down some suggestions if you know of some....
