Looking for a SMALL thin locking knife

I'd stay away from anything made by Gerber. The Buck Nobleman is an excellent inexpensive knife, but it's about 3 and 3/4 inches closed. The Buck Colleague and Scholar are similar in style to the Nobleman, but are quite a bit smaller - just a hair under 3 inches closed. All three are liner locks. The Gent would be a good choice too, and is made in the USA.

+1 on the Nobleman. I've had one for a couple years and is still going strong.

I really like my Kershaw OD-2. It is quite small but easy to deploy with it's rather unique flipper. I'm not sure if it's extremely durable, but I never baby mine and have had no issues.
