Looking for a solid EDC under 3 inches.

it is the carbon fiber version. Not something that I want to hop in and out of freshwater lakes and rivers with. I live in Michigan and spend a lot of time in those environments in the summer so that is a requirement as well. The Endura has done the job but it’s big and old.
Sage 2!

Pro-tech SBR fixed. 2.62" blade, 6.5" overall, S35VN.

Love the looks of it, very nice but I guess I should have said I’m looking for a folder.

My most carried EDC(s) over the last couple years are Leatherman Craters. Unfortunately discontinued, but you might still find a couple for cheap NIB. I use the Crater C33TX when working on the house, and carry the C33 when I minimal carry (I dremeled down the metal frame, cut off the Carabiner, and smoothed out the plastic edges of the handle). The blade is about 2.5".

3" or less alternatives that I carry now and then are the Cold Steel Tuff Lite at 2.5", and the Buck 112 (many different models including the slim line) right at 3". Also, props to the ESEE Zancudo (many prefer the Ontario Rat 2 but I don't like it)... but I don't carry it that often as I prefer a thicker handle width.

I'm also curious about the Minijimbo, but I don't have a knife budget anymore.

I'm surprised to see that nobody has mentioned the Hogue/Ritter Mini (RSK Mk1-G2); though it is a little over the $150 mark
If you aren't set on a pocket clip, I'm a big fan of the Buck 501 (esp some of the s35vn and CPM154 versions)
I'll also second that a slipjoint generally handles most of my cutting needs.

Nothing wrong with getting another Delica, either. Spyderco Positron is just a hair over the 3" blade stipulation; but if you can tell the difference between 3" and 3.05" you're trying too hard. (it is discontinued; but that doesn't mean they aren't worth considering)

I don't have it yet but I just ordered a Civivi Mini Sandbar from BladeHQ. It's an interesting knife with an interesting grind but was a little too expensive for what it was at full retail.

Funny, what I ended up with was my first Civivi. The Baby Banter. I absolutely love it and it’s completely non-threatening for the office and for me at least the ergos feel a lot better than the DF 2, I think the Dragonfly is a fantastic knife obviously for a lot of people it just didn’t really work for me. The finish on this Civivi is really impressive. Of course I also ended up with a Para 2 and I would say all-around it’s my most favorite knife ever. I can’t part with it now that I have my hands on it but I might be a little nervous bringing it with me on say a tubing trip down the river for fear of losing it. I think the Baby Banter should be ok for that. The Para 2 LW is sort of a must own for a Spydy collector IMO.

I really did like the Recon 1 Mini, excellent fit and finish, carried very nicely but I just didn’t see myself using it in place of other options outside of the office and it’s just a little too aggressive for what I want to use at work. I did not want to let it go but I ended up returning it. I wish I could figure out how to post pictures to this forum. I am supposed to be tech savvy but I can never figure it out. I created a Flickr account but no go.
