Looking for a survival knife

I guarantee you wouldn't have the stones to talk like that to me in person.

Another keyborne tough guy.

I'd give you an infraction for sassing a moderator since you just don't get it, but I will leave that decision in the very capable hands of my friend, Esav.

It's not about sassing a moderator, it's about what he said. It's not the first time, from what I've seen. Keyboard Commando, and a racist to boot. Jack Booted Racist.

I'd say more, but then I'd get an infraction... Meet him in Whine and Cheese, I say. Come on.

(Directed to all above posters) Thanks for the suggestions. But, is their any suggestions regarding the steels that would excel in this type of knife? Thanks again.

Yes, carbon steel like O1 or 1095 or A2. It will get scary sharp and hold an edge but you can get it back to scary easily after hard use. They are tough as hell too.

Rat, who makes (or made) that folder? Thanks

I would highly reccomend a Bark River Bravo-1 it's an amazing knife. RAT does make some great knives also. I like the uncoated blade of the Barkie though. If you want a more tactical looking knife go with the RAT. Also RAT gives you the choice of 3inch 4 inch and 6 inch blades and come with a better factory sheath. Also If you want a RAT with a leather sheath look at knivesshipfree they have the RAT line with leather sharpshooter sheaths.
