Looking for a tactical Bowie

For my understanding is a tactical Bowie what I mentioned when opening the thread. A knife like e. g. the Busse Battle Mistress, but with a good penetrating tip and
a better finger protection. The Ontario Marine Raider isn´t bad, but in my opinion the balde broadens to close behind the tip. The TOPS knife is too short, the Battle Pappy has a too broad point. CS Natchez and Laredo are classical Bowies and I don´t like the tang construction. Meanwhile I have found the Condor Jungle Bowie, maybe it´s a alternative - seems cheap but not bad. Nevertheless, thanks so far. I´m sure, some day I´ll find one.

I don't know if it is "tactical" enough but the tops Texas longhorn Bowie is very nice. If you look around you can find it at a decent price as well.

Here are a few "tactical" Bowies-

And after those marvelous pics, I'm mentioning some Boker Plus knives. Seems like a bit of a letdown!

But I'll go ahead and mention them anyway. The BP Valkyrie, while that is an out there name, the knife is really nice. It is a take on the old SOG knives of the Vietnam War. It has 440C steel that is really well done, a 1/4" thickness, great fit/finish, a decent leather sheath ( a bit thinner, but for the price good).

There is a Boker Plus Collection 2010. Another 1/4" thick, 440C blade, and leather sheath that you might like;

There are a few other's under the Boker Plus line that may be of interest.

The Boker (Germany) Bowie is very nice, though twice the cost of the BP's

Hi Cutter 17

Thank you. These knives are fine, and I know them. They come from Germany.
For me they are to small.

Hi Matt Lamey

For knives like these I´m looking for.
What´s the measurements of knife 2 and 3?

I don't mean to be rude, but this entire thread could be reduced to the following:

Matt Lamey's bowies and the other stuff. Not that the other stuff won't put holes in things, or cut things--sort of--but there really is no comparison otherwise.

Tactical is not coated in black or saw teeth on the spine, it is easy to hold, easy to swing, easy to sharpen, and tough as nails. Back to square one: Matt Lamey.

Looks like Matt Lamey makes a hulluva knife, but I don't know how you can say that the product is the 'best'-I certainly wouldn't use a knife that nice, and certainly couldn't afford it. He's limited by the imperfections of humanity and the laws of physics like the rest of the field.

It may just be me, but the handles are too short. They're beauties but it look like that handles are on the short side. Please comment Mr. Lamey if there's plenty of real estate on your Bowies, including the website which also makes the handles look way too short. :)

It could be the photography with the "blade forward shots" to showcase the blades? This would make the handles appear too short.
