Looking for a tactical lockback

Midget - you simply are not going to find a lighweight (less than 4 ounces) lockback with a 3 inch, 1/8 inch or greater blade in a factory piece. Most blades in this range are designed for cutting, not prying. The Native is about as close as you are going to get.

I would look at the AG Russell StrikeForce knives. The workmanship is acceptable, and the blade is pretty stout. I happen to like hole openers, although the one on the StrikeForce is a little small for my thumb.

The SOG knives mentioned above are pretty sturdy, but are clipless.
You could try a SOG Vision or Nightvision. Sturdy tanto blades with an ARC lock and thick blade stock. I am not fond of partially serrated blades, but the Vision is a heck of a design.

Except for the weight, the Chinook seems like it would be a great fit for you. Surprised so few people recommended it. Can be had for less than $100 delivered (ebay), with s30v steel, 5mm blade width, tough lock, grippy G10 scales. I got the impression from reviews that it was a bit chunky, but that's not the case at all. It is heavy--Chinook II is 2oz lighter when it appears--but doesn't feel it, and it is very slim, making it good for carry in most casual pants. Jeans carry would be no problem. Seems much more totable than my BM Ascent, is shorter and seems thinner, and has less vertical blade play. Thumb opening is easier than my Gunting, and it flips open very easily due to the heft of the blade. If there's a finer tactical lockback with equivalent build and materials I'd sure like to know about it. Plus, it's got a pretty brutish classic look. If you need something in the 5oz range, wait a couple weeks for the Chinook II.

Bquinlan, Have you looked at the tip?

Thought I'd mentioned that it was designed as a fighter... The tip is thinner than the rest of the blade. It wouldn't make a good prybar, but for anything else it seems to be plenty strong. I found it made a good utility blade.
