Like the title says I really want a locking folder with this blade shape. I've been doing some looking and there doesn't seem to be many of these out there that seem decent for a reasonable price (>$100).

Spyderco as always it seems has something I REALLY want (Spyderco centofante 4) and of course it's been long since discontinued. :(

Are there any good alternatives that have this blade shape around 2", a lock of some sort and possibly a pocket clip?

CASE mini-trapper.. Carhartt labeled.. Have one.. Nice and slim pocket carry.. As ground blade.. Just saw you are looking for a locking knife..John:)

Ditto the Mini Tuff Lite. Also the regular sized Tuff Lite. Spyderco's Kiwi 4 usually goes for around $120, but they can be found for just a hair over $100 new if you look around and a bit less used. I got mine here at bfc LNIB for $95.

I am keen on how this thread progresses.

You said, "I've been doing some looking and there doesn't seem to be many of these out there that seem decent for a reasonable price (>$100)." I tend to agree. And a few candidates I've found are discontinued. My current carry is discontinued but available.

I'm still looking to "upgrade" but am currently carrying a CRKT Viele WASP. I got it a few months ago in Seattle at an army surplus store. There are three models of different lengths, I'm carrying the small.

(Tried to insert an image and it isn't working for me right now.)

You will love this knife, believe me, and the black version is really cheap at knifeworks.com

Have to say the Mini Tuff Lite best meets your specs. Even without the sherbet-colored scales, in hand the handle is nearly invisible, and the blade itself is largely hidden by the thumb.

Those are some great suggestions So far, I never even came across the CS Tuff Lite while searching but it seems to have some pretty great reviews. The design is pretty appealing to me as well, It reminds me of the Spyderco Equilibrium but with a straight edge.

As much as I love the leeks to death, I carried them for quite awhile and went through two of them and lost one (Kershaw's CS is top notch btw).

It's time to move on to something different. I currently carry a BM grip with the sheeps foot but it's a wee bit large for my needs and all I do with it really is cut, open and mod boxes for shipping at the office. I do LOVE the Axis lock though.

I actually do like the colored scales, black and silver everything gets kinda old to look at after awhile.

You know what screw it, it's like $20 I'm gonna buy it. :D

AG Russell Featherlite in the "general purpose" blade form, a slightly swept wharncliffe and inexpensive. If you want something with more upscale scales, he has the same design in all metal as the Skorpion. the K12 is a dressed up version. Similar blade in a few of his other knives such as the 3 1/2 Titanium lockback.

In the used market, look for a Benchmade 921. Axis lock glory with a very wharncliffe-like blade. Not truly nor purely wharncliffe, but very close.

That's the spirit! I was going to recommend the tuff lite to. The mini is a little hard to open if you have bigger hands, but the regular is great too. I got my daughter one and she loves it.
