I've been collecting and using knives for 60 years and been heavily into tactical folders for the last 20. As I enter my 70th year I'm circling back to my favorites, Emerson's.

I'm looking for Poboy versions (prefer liner lock but will consider frame locks) of the Horseman, CQC-8, Roadhouse or Super Roadhouse, CQC-7B, Tiger, Combat Systems Folder, but may consider others. Also looking for a 2004 ECA Azek Marud (used is OK).

What is the difference between a poboy and a custom?

A Poboy is the name often given for a poor man's version of an Emerson custom. It is taking a production knife and customizing it to have a least bead blasted Titanium bolsters and Micarta scales to it resembles a custom. In some case they include a custom back spacer and a thicker Titanium liner on the lock side. The rarest are Poboy CQC-6 because after about a year of pimpers creating them, Ernest Emerson requested that no more me made and all scrupulous pimpers complied. This was due to the number of unsuspecting inexperienced buyers who were being scammed by secondhand buyers who were passing off $ 500 Poboy's as $ 2000 customs.
