Looking for feedback on Steven Coody

I been following this thread I knew something was off about this guy, I was just gonna push his buttons a little bit and see how he responded, Good job to the OP for starting this thread otherwise Mr. Coody might of had himself another victim.
 
I have competed a trade with chief2steve on a sebenza. We agreed to ship at the same time and that is exactly what happened. I would tell you that people make mistakes an it appears that he is willing to do the thing that will build his reputation back on this forum. Only time will tell
 
Hey I'm all for giving a guy another chance and it's an easy thing to do if he ships first on a trade. The other guy can check it out and then ship. Another way to build your reputation back up is be a man and admit you did wrong and make it right to the people you scammed. It's not hard. It might take a bunch of cash and that's hard to swallow sometimes, but it's either that or your reputation. One is a heck of a lot easier to get than the other.
 
Like i said I was only trying to ruffle the guys feathers a little bit...And what do you know he started showing his true colors and yea he may be trying to do right now but he did scam others, also i believe if everyone in this thread knew the whole details about the trade then you would see that chief2steve was prolly gonna rip the OP off , I'm not gonna go into the details about the trade because it isn't any of my business or my place to do so but, Mr. Coody offered the OP a knife that is worth a whole lot more than the knife that the OP had, It really looks like a scam guys.
 
Based on what has been presented here (by both sides), whether chief2steve ships first or walks away, there is a problem with credibility.

A satisfactory trade will not change that.
 
I am all for giving a guy a second chance , but I would only do a face to face trade with anyone with previous scamming history. So I guess if he ships first but makes me wonder why he would take a loss on a trade unless he scammed that knife as well. Just a thought.
 
Would anyone ripped off by Mr. Coody PLEASE take the time to report it to the Post Office. The only way he can be stopped is by getting enough evidence to put him away. he ripped me off and, at least, one other person on the Benchmade Forum. Contact me if you need the link. Thanks.
 
Maybe you should enjoy BFC for other than buying/selling/trading for awhile and convince those that doubt you are an honest person.

The priviledge of buying/selling/trading without hesitation is earned. HOWEVER all it takes is one instance where integrity and credibility is challenged to destroy one's reputation for a long, long, long time.

I am pleased to say that Mr. Coody is a man of his word.... On Monday he agreed to ship his ZT to me first. Communications were good as he sent tracking # and said he would mail on PM Monday He did that and it arrived this morning. The knife is is superb shape with boxes and papers and was actually better than described.

I am shipping my knife to complete this deal by tomorrow AM. I am happy and gratified that Steve chose this course and I am especially happy for everyone (especially Allen) that reached out and gave of their time and information.

He had a trade worked out with me for im assuming the same knife. Zt0560? We had planned to ship last monday and I saw this thread and did not hear from him so I let it be. I emailed him today asking what happend and he told me sorry that he lost my email and he had someone else he offered the knife to. He said that this person had shipped their knife to him without his knowledge so he had to send his 0560 that he had set up to trade with me to the other person.

Moral of this story, I still think he is full of s**t and I am glad that i did not send my knife out to him on the day that we planned to ship.

In my opinion its just a matter of time untill someone gets burned.
 
No it wasn't the same knife the knife I traded pwerfel was a zt0561 I had a zt0560 also that was traded sorry for the mix up Once again if it doesn't seem right to you then don't do it if it does once again I have no problem shipping my end first and thank you pwerfel for the feedback and hope to do business with you again

So did you ever make right the fellow you wronged on the benchmade forums?
 
Mr Coody has never returned my money or sent me the knife he promised. Do business with him at your own risk. He is the most blatant thief I have seen in a while.

The remarkable part is that he is still at it. I wonder how many people he has conned?

Yeah. Was hoping to hear some good among all the negative. It seems he chose to have his accounts banned rather than face anyone and make ammends.

He did make good on the trade described in this thread.... no issues.

I am surprised that he was banned. What happened? It was not because of this deal, correct?

He DID make good on this deal with me as I posted last August.

That is sad that someone would do that
