Looking For Large Fixed Blade Options

The Recon Scout, especially in 3v, is an incredible knife. I have one and it's my favorite big-ish/camp knife. If that's too rich for your blood, the drop forged survivalist is another great and bullet proof blade, and can be found for $75, if you look a little. I'm off to watch a WWII movie. Its about a naval battle in the Pacific. Its not Pearl Harbor, it's another big one, but I just can't recall the name right now.

These re-stocked tonight. Uses K340, which appears to be similar use steel. The other G10 handle option sold out in about 10 minutes, I bought one.

Cold steel, great blades garbage handles. The RS and TM are the best they do but at current prices they approach much better makers like Benchmade, Bradford, LT Wright, white river and several others.

I have several Cold Steel knives. My only concern would be with the sheath. I bought a Cold Steel Warcraft Tanto and the sheath was horrible. I ended up getting a sheath made for it and am very pleased with it now.

I hate it when smug rich guys post their smug rich guy knives... 🙄 😂

you know, the antidote is a good knife in that size range that doesnt break the bank -> buck 124 or 120?
the 120, at almost 7.5" for about a $100 is great value, and their 420hc is a great option for shtf

I would suggest you look at the Fallkniven website. They have a good reputation.
Fox Knives from Italy has a good selection in your price range. I can personally vouch for these as I have had several. Fox and their military division (FKMD);have some potential winners.

I appreciate all the feedback. I ended up buying a Used Swamp Rat Tali Whacker from another forums member. Now just need to get a sheath made and I’m set.
Excellent choice!

The Taliwhacker is one of my absolute favorite designs and is very fun to use. An amazing chopper for its weight - especially after a thinned edge.
