Looking For My First Fixed Blade

I am looking to add a fixed blade EDC to my current collection and could use some ideas. I have been keeping an eye out in the knife makers forum and have been really impressed with Drew's work at DCL Knives, the only problem is I live in Canada so shipping and duty could be an issue, not to mention our poor exchange rate right now. I would like to keep it under $200 and it will hopefully be a daily user if I like carrying it, so anything from slicing an apple to cutting cardbaord to sharpening a pencil. Hopefully the members here can suggest some Canadian makers. I will post a picture of my current collection of folders to give an idea of what I like.

Great collection brother!!
I recently picked up my first fixed......I went with a Guardian 3 in 3v with the nimbus finish and black leather sheath. I couldn't be happier!!
Great little blade that is literally tough as nails!!

Love this Childress fixed blade, $100.00 shipped to my door and worth every penny. My other fixed blade EDC is a Bark River Bravo EDC but it is a larger knife and not a ergonomic as the Childress.

A nice canadian knife maker I know of in your price range is North Arm Knives out of BC, their Mallard and Lynx knives look like good fixed blades for you. I personally know their Trillium paring knife has been lauded by many here as being a fantastic kitchen knife, so they make good stuff.

Some indication of preferred (or allowed) blade length would help us with recommendations.
The Guardian 3 is a great little knife; but mine sits home because I don't like the feel of the corner of the blade against my finger when I use the choil. (It doesn't feel right at all, if I keep my finger behind the choil.) It's an easy fix; I just haven't gotten around to it.
My currently most carried fixed blade is from one of the makers here. I'll update with pics tomorrow.

Another vote for the Bradford Guardian 3. Brad is great to deal with, too. I called him in the AM & he put one together for me that day & shipped it that night. Guardian 3, with 3V ateel & 3D grips:

I would take a chance on a north arm knives lynx. ItS on my wishlist for the future. Pretty good stainless steel. Choice of several handle materials.

All you need is a KA-BAR MKI, why do others make it so hard to find the truth? Let the force guide you on this one.

This is from daado here on the forums made out a of a tank bearing solid knife well worth 90$

you can't go wrong with a Carothers Performance Knives, (CPK) Field Knife.

I can somehow feel your taste of knife. Although I dont own one, I think you will like Spyderco Wilson Southfork. It a bit over your budget, but I did see that knife in great condition for less than $200 here at the Exchange.

I would go custom for sure! So many great fixed blade knife makers!

Perhaps I'm a pleb, but even if I had a higher budget, I'd take a very serious look at the ESEE 3HM for an EDC type knife.

Come to think of it, I am looking at that for an EDC fixed blade.
A little more than an Izula 2, while still not being small enough to EDC.

Spyderco Street Beat is nearly perfect for EDC. Love mine. Plenty of good suggestions above.

Whats that knife on the top middle? Nice collection by the way.

My favorite fixed blade for EDC is the Becker BK14/24. The Bradford Guardian 3/4 always catch my attention, but I have never used them.
