Looking for my first Ratmandu!

If your like me at all and like drop points and thick knives you will LOVE the guard-less drop point R6!!

Only time a man gets to say "Nice ASH" to me and I will reply "Thanks" ... ;)

Yep, that is an R6 with a tanker grey blade I believe.

I need to order my drop point R6 this week as well ... :D

The review I was reading said it was a RMD - My mistake. It is a beautiful piece- I would be honored to have it too.
Like sand through the hourglass........so are the days of our lives........

Andy, I avoided "nice ASH"...because you have way more than one.

WW, RMDs are the foundation of a Swamp Rat collection or prepared loadout, FFG for a win...N2K RMD concept for The Win!

The N2K RMD is pretty much the greatest knife ever thought up, so great in fact that it can only exist in the minds of us Rats.

Ummm..... what's N2K's RMD look like? Feel like I missed something monumental and possibly life-altering.

You need two things to "see" this one. First know what RMDs look like, and second be able to invasion the knife as described.

N2K RMD began as a simple idea of a RMD variant. That's the title of the thread over on the Swamp site where the idea got its legs. Originally it was satin w/ Res-c, but quickly became an idea more geared toward reality than fantasy. In that not too much new programming, and design be necessary to make it reality.

So, after many posts of pages...the idea became pretty "simple" in that you start w/ the RMD SE in its FFG excellence and square off the spine of the blade but nuke the tail-end and all other edges. Best mention it's made of INFI; originally because of the satin idea...because INFI is far easier to maintain when it's naked.

Fast forward a bit and satin lost out to comp. finish because not everyone liked "shiny" and this knife is designed to be a go-to, first-grab user...not a showpiece in any way. So we settled on canvas micarta for the handle and comp. finish INFI for the blade.

Then comp. was officially ended. So this idea got shelved for a bit.

But, I have another idea for it and will start a thread in the Swamp soon. That thread will take in opinions of others and this idea will evolve. Hopefully someday become reality. But I have not requested it be created yet and I ask no one else does either at this time.

For the record...I didn't name it the N2K RMD, that naturally occurred as the variant thread progressed.

Does one can own only one RMD?

I ask the question cause, I got one, and can't get my eyes off any others hitting the Exchange... I am, by no mean, a collector and intend to use any knife I own, but damn, the RMD is a speshul one.

You guys will be the reason for my divorce!! :o

I can see that knife duct taped to the end of my Mosin Nagant!! :D
