Looking for my first Ratmandu!

Mine's not as pretty anymore, I beat on her a little...But i love this knife. She is a great worker.



 
Look...a "Skippy Coin" ... :D

Gave my Godson a Black Paper on Tanker RMD last night, it was his Christmas gift. He lives a couple of hour away and lucky enough I also collected a bag of sheaths from Dave Brown from the post office so he also got the kydex for his knife at the same time.

Love my skippy coins :D I carry one everywhere i go since the day you guys sent them to me!

I have carried a "lucky" coin for as long as i can remember, always the year i was born and always a coin i wouldnt accidentally spend if it was mixed up with other change in my pocket. This has to be one of my favorite "lucky" coins yet. Love the kangaroos on it.
 
Oh Boy!! My card was just charged this morning! I ordered the RMD on Jan 9th. They must be working really hard. The order page says 4-14 weeks so I guess they are on the short side of that window. I got the Kydex coming today from J&G designs.

Is it generally a 1-2 week wait at this point?

I should be getting charged for the R3 very soon as well.

Wow, two Rats for my first two quality fixed blades. Can't wait!!
 
I got 3 knives in the mail today (TOPS B.O.B.-RAT 4-Izula) and I am still dreaming of a RMD!

It's like a bad rash.

These are not custom, so I chose Black on Black for the RMD and the Rodent 3 only comes Black on Black. I plan on stripping the R3 and maybe some polishing. Depending on how that works out I'm sure the RMD will be get some sort of treatment.

Lexi just told me 10 business days and the RMD ships. I wonder if I should stay at home Feb 4th :)

Just the 4th? I would stay home all week!!!

I'm confused now- When I look at the RMD on the website it lets me pic colors...if you do this does it cost more? Or is it just a longer wait? I might order mine tonight. :D
 
The options on the site do no raise the price or the wait time. It will be about 4-14 weeks either way. The options it gives are standard options that cost the same price.

If you wanted to get G10 or bone handles, handle liners or make any other changes that would add to the price, and you would have to order it via email to the custom shop and could increase wait time a little as well.

I say GO FOR IT!! You wont regret that purchase.
 
I see. My wife gave me the okey dokey, now it's deciding on color combo's!!! :D

Before you say it--YES..... sadly .....I am whipped! :o
