Looking for SMALL hard use fixed blade thats built like a TANK.. like this (PICTURES)

Finally come the Ontario Ranger recommendations!

I have a Little Bird all the way up to a RD-9, and every size in between.

For the price, you cant beat the Ontario Ranger Series.

This may not be up to the quality you're looking for but the OP"s posting looks very similar to the Schrade SCHF16. I have 2 of them and I like em. Sorry I don't have any pics to post but google can help

Tops lil roughneck! It is the thickest little knife you will ever find!

Would highly recommend Survive!Knives GSO2.7

It's made from 20CV and have lots of handles options. Not to mention their FNF/quality are just superb!

If you want something bigger go for the GSO3.5.

Appreciate all the great suggestions! I think so far my top 3 would be between:

Boker Vox B.O.B
DPX Hest
Tops Delta Unit 3

I've lusted a bit over that Boker in the past, but never pulled the trigger. I love my Delta Unit 3, though. It's the one I find myself grabbing more often than all the others for misc tasks around the house. It sometimes even comes close to beating out the BK16 for my hike/backpack knife.

I would go Boker BOB or Becker necker type. Good performers at good prices. Even the ESEE neckers or a sub $100 custom from one of the great makers on this forum!

Just throw it at trees till they fall down. :D

Yep! Whitty and Stabman are right about the Lil' Roughneck.

3/8" thick 5160 steel. Use it as a hammer, or hammer on it. You will not break it.

That being said, if you actually need to cut something, there are better choices. The Lil' Roughneck is a splitting maul disguised as a small knife. It cuts, yes, but getting the point to start the cut requires more effort than a knife should.

Now, suggestions.

I've had my eye on the TOPS Baghdad Boxcutter, and it might serve your needs, too.

It's pretty small:

OAL is just under 5", blade is 2" and some change, so it's not quite as big as your Raidops, but the blade shape makes it easy to use for precision cutting, and accessing potato chips.

The important thing to notice is the 1/4" thick 1095 steel that the Boxcutter is made of.

Good luck!

Edit: wrong steel, the first time...

I picked up a Boker Bob and a DPX Hest II Woodsman. They should be here in a couple days. I happened to find good deals on them and just went for it. There are still others mentioned in this thread that I want! Very conflicting feeling!

My vote goes on the TOPS Baghdad box cutter. No scales makes it .25 thin and takes very little place.

I have an eye on the TOPS Lil Roughneck, but at 3/8inch thick, I wonder if this thing can cut clean without tearing apart.

As a side note, that RaidOps at 300 for D2 steel? No way I would pay that much for one of these.

Take a look at a Bad Blood Spartan...

Not super fancy but stout and under $50... A bit larger in size than what you may be looking at though.
