So I live in southern California. Correction, I'm stationed in southern California haha. And around here I'm not sure where to go to find decent knives, or sharpening supplies such as norton or dmt stones, or sandpaper higher than 400 grit. Most stores I have located are half way across the country, or carry little to nothing in the department I'm shopping around in. If anybody has any knowledge to pass on out of familiarity with this area it would be greatly appreciated. The most practical areas are anything from Oceanside down to San Diego. Check for woodcraft stores in your area.

Any auto parts store should carry sandpaper above 400 grit, all the way up to 2000 or so.
