It's not very often a knife design comes along that catches my eye nowdays, let's face it nearly every design has already been done eh.
I do however find this new one from FOX interesting. While I'd rather have a knife in good old high carbon I do think the shape might prove usefull as a Camp/Survival knife.

What do ya think ?

That is a wicked looking blade. I don't know much about the steel though. I know Extrema Ratio uses it in all their blades but i have no experience with it. How does it compare to others?

A useful looking design... paired up with a SAK. I had a spyderco forester in N690Co and at 9"inches it was a fair chopper.. no edge roll, no chips and stayed sharp, it a good stainless, quite under rated.

well it is for sale and a bit expensive cause it comes with some survival kit. they want 190 bucks for it. i guess they were trying to do a similar set up to extreme ratio just much cheaper cause extreme's survival set up is almost 400 bucks

The handle looks a little uncomfortable, other then that, I suppose it may not be so bad. Although I have a few other blades in the size length that I would prefer.

It’s been out a while now, but I did get to handle one at the Blade Show this year. It’s smaller than I thought, but is solidly built. Fox Cutlery has some nice designs, but some are a little “edgy” and not the best ergonomics. Their Golok isn’t a bad design and felt good in the hand…I’m sure it would be a great performer.

Kinda reminds me of the Johnson Adventure Blades Potbelly by Kabar. Looks alright, I would rather a simpler handle though.

These look very nice, and seem very serviceable. I wouldn't mind having one. I've liked them ever since the designer did a review of one over on a bushcraft forum I like a few months back.

can't remember his name, but the designer is also here in BF.

i tried searching for them last month and couldn't find either this version oor the larger one with the stainless blade listed for sale anywhere.

really like the tan sheath and handle. don't know what kit is included with it, but a lower street price without the kit might make one find it's place here. gotta actually find one for sale first tho!

It does have the Busse trademark Talon hole. Fox has been around awhile though, so maybe they have some kind of agreement.

Regardless, I like the look of most Fox cutlery but have never handled them. I'd like to try this one out.

To put holes in a blade you need an agreement ? Is it the placement of the holes ? The diameter ?

Looks like a good chopper , for some reason I too think the handle 'looks' a little uncomfortable but there is a difference in seeing and holding.
I can see the virtues of stainless being used on a knife like that , not that I'm opposed to carbon... :)

Not being a Busse fan/hog/RIOFDBH (whatever their acronyms mean) I was unaware that they trademarked a hole in the integral guard (I assume that is the "talon hole"). This looks like a nice example of a mid sized bush knife, but like others I would like to hold one to see what it is like in hand- I'm weird with handles, as the Manix, Rat Izula and others that people love do not fit my hand well at all.
