Any idea what the steel is? And is there a sheath?

Just got this information from the maker:
"HI
I am not sure of the steel, its probably front end suspension coil from a 4.5 tonn tuck.
People say is 5260 but I think its a 10xx series like 1070 or 1080 as its shows a hamon way to well for the other steels.
For the record i have made dozens of blades from that steel and I have never had any complaints about it. While O1 has given me hassle before."

Ok, how far does the tang extend do you know? Do you know where I could get a matching sheath for it by chance without having to have it custom made? I want it but want to have my ducks in a row before committing to it. keepem sharp
