Lose weight without alot of money for equipment?

Food is a huge deal. preservatives and the like are terrible. Artificial food screws with your body. HYDROGENATED OILS and HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP are big offenders. sugar substitutes cause craving.

Here is a simple rule of thumb: Stay away from anything that is more then one step away from a farm.

blah blah blah
eat less
blah blah
this is what you should try,

its not about losing weight, its about building lean muscle, the weight will take care of itself.
we use this in ROTC, my pt score went from a 235 to 274 in 2 months.
you should also be drinking near 200oz of water a day.
cutting sugars is good, eating (the right) fruits and veggies is key, bananas are useless, brocoli is good, almonds are good, and drink more water.

this is my secong go around losing weight (first right out of high school weighing 310lbs. to 205lbs in less than a year) due to my 15 month vacation in Knoxville. My daily regimen consists of 30min of jogging on treadmill, pushups, and 8min. abs vid I downloaded awhile back. As for food, I don't count calories but I do have a sense of what's good for me & whats not. Like someone stated earlier, no bread, sugar & min. pasta. When I get to somewhere around 210lbs., I will definitely order P90X since its the only infomercial product that actually delivers:)

Last year I was in hospital with high blood pressure and tachycardia, which is fast heartbeat. Dr. put me on medication but said I should lose weight. At the time I was over 240 pounds and though I did alot of hiking in mountains and lifted weights I also love to eat. I started running and instead of weights, which are bad for high blood pressure, I started doing pullups and pushups instead. I run 40-60 minutes, 5 or 6 days a week and I don't keep track of distance just the time. After 8 months I am down to 205 pounds and I still eat all I want, though I quit drinking beer and cut down on fat and sweets. Fortunately food in Thailand is good for losing weight also as long as you don't go crazy with the rice. I eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
I also started doing exercises with sledgehammer found in website www.shovelglove.com and found them both beneficial and fun to do.

In wrestling, I learned that if you keep away from processed foods, cereal, bread, starches, soda, etc; and instead eat chicken, eggs, vegetables, whatever and on top of that do some intense cardio like hill sprints; you're metabolism will go through the roof (at least mine did)
good luck!
