Hi just wondering if anybody has a problem with misplacing or losing their knife? Any bad expieriences?

All the time. I can't find two of mine at the moment. I thought I stuck three of them in a backpack but only found one. I know they weren't stolen because I ended up not taking the backpack anywhere after all. Probably in some odd spot.

No, I have a system for this very reason. I get scared when I lose a knife because its akin to misplacing 200$.+ and if never do that. I'm not a millionaire.

Oh yeah, just recently... Had just got it back from my girlfriend after loaning it to her for a few months, got it all sharpened how I wanted and then couldn't find it anywhere. Looked up and down for it and figured I must have dropped it somewhere. Was really ticked...

Then I put my boot on the next morning, and what do you know, somehow it had fallen out of my pocket and into my boot when I was getting my coat on and off, or something. Not sure, but I suppose it was only a matter of time until I put it on.

The real kicker is that, I went back to the store and gas station to see if I had dropped it on the ground. Yet, I wound up putting my tennis shoes on for that since I wanted to get down there in a hurry.

Generally not but so far this year have lost two Surefire flashlights. Sure they are on the property or a vehicle somewhere...

I just misplaced $400 for a week. Found it in the breast pocket of an old jacket. And no, I don't mean a knife. I mean $400. :D

Look in your car or couch :D. This seems to be where I lose one if I do. Probably because the way im sitting pushes the knife out of my pocket.

I lost my small micarta sebenza on a construction site for a couple hours. When I noticed it I backtracked and talked to everyone I could about it. Finally I found it laying on the ground and there was much rejoicing!!!

Also lost an izula on a jobsite. Unfortunately I never found that one.

lost my Boker Plus money clip knife. searched the cars over and over thinking it musta' fell out, retraced my steps, tried to recall all events that may have given a pick pocket an opportunity, etc.

then picked up a pair of shorts that was sitting around and yep, there it was inside the pocket! :D

i thought i had lost my ZT0350 today, i looked all over the house went outside and retraced my steps from yesterday afternoon till this morning and all day, then after about 3 hours of looking i remembered taking the knife to bed with me, i was flicking it open and closed as i fell asleep last night and totally forgot, it was in my blankets... doh!

lost a old smith and wesson auto knife. i know it was a cheap auto but that knife saved my life twice. once it helped the mugger not to take the chance. the other time a car jacker pulled a knife demanded my keys and slashed at me. i pulled it and took a stab at midsection and hit. police never filled against me, never found the guy and they let me keep it. lost is about 8 months ago. must have fallen out of my pocket. pissed me off. maybe i will find it in my car someday

I used to lose it in the laundry! cleanest knife i ever owned!

I lost a SOG Flash II a while ago. I have no idea where it went. Don't know if I dropped it somewhere or it got stolen. I could not care less. End of story.

i lost my Vic farmer a few weeks ago. i know it is not super expensive. but, that thing went everywhere with me. i still have not replaced it. needs to happen soon. i'm still tender.

When I was a teen and my family and I moved to a new house, I ended up misplacing quite a few of my knives. Most were Pakistani and Chinese made crap and I don't miss most of them but I did have one of those cheap Pakistani made W49 bowies that was a surprisingly good beater considering it origins that I wish I still had. I also had a Schrade Trapper and Buck 110 that also got misplaced.

I lost a Polished G-10 LEEK S30V.
My sons each lost knives that I gave them while they were serving in the USMC (Emerson CQC-7, Spyderco Mili D2, Zero Tolerance 0551) I think the lesson is to use a Lanyard on knifes while in military service.
