Sorry to hear that---my condolences. Back in '87 I stopped a neighbor from taking his life. He was ticked at me for a few years. Finally succeeded. I'm still sad about that.

Lost one of my "three amigo's fishing team" to cancer a few months ago. My sister to suicide 10 years ago. Very sorry for your loss brother, try not to play the "what if...guessing game" It does not help, I know.

I know that there isnt much anyone here can say to help you feel better, but were here for you, and if you need to talk, id be happy to. My prayers man.
 
I appreciate everyones prayers and thoughts. Today "officially" begins our groups processing of this tragic event. I've never been apart of something like this, nor this close to death before. But, I am more concerned for his friends and peers than for myself or other adults (besides his family). There have been 4 suicides in the past few weeks, so my worst fear is copy-cats. Services are Tuesday and Wednesday, and we are expecting well over 600 people. So please pray for other youth in our area to not be tempted with a similar choice.
 
Prayers for his friend & his family. How awful that he felt that that was his only option. Sad, very, very sad.
