Hi friends

Just want to share with you.

Today I got informed by the police that I have lost a knife. I was a Small Sebenza I bought on this forum. I was planning to use it for hunting. It was confiscated by the Danish customs/police and they wrote in the letter that the knife will be destroyed. The problem is that the Sebenza is a one-hand operated knife and such are illegal here. So you see it’s not easy. I was so looking forward to handle it based on all the recommendations from you fellow knife enthusiasts.

Regards Carl

That completely sucks. I've lost a small Sebenza too, so I feel your pain, but at least I got to use mine for a few months before losing it.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I am really sorry to hear that. A small Sebenza is a great knife, you have suffered a huge loss. It is unfortunate when politics interfere with our rights.

What a miserable state of affairs when because of the actions of a few idiots who misuse a gun, knife, or martial arts weapon ALL of society is penalized for it. I think thats an ass-backwards way of doing things.
:o
I hope you have better luck with future purchases.

Carl,
So sorry to heat that! It truly sucks! I know just how it feels - I live in Denmark too!
I bought two Busse Assault Shakers this summer (one for myself and a buddy) and it took me forever to get them from the police even though they are perfectly legal.
And of course I had to put up with all kinds of threats, incomptence and stupidity from the police as well.

I know it doesn't help anything now, but if you want one hand operated folders, it's much easier to get them from inside the EU and live with the (sometimes) higher cost.
You'r welcome to shoot me a mail if you wanna talk! bo.ipsc@mail.dk

And I thought Canada was screwed up when it came to knives :(

Not much I can do, but did customs/police give you the option of returning it to the original sender?

If they did send me an e-mail.

That is so bogus! Really sorry to hear about this. When I first got into knives I had a Boker speed lock taken by us customs being delivered from Germany. The Knifeshop was kind enough to ship another so I was not out anything but a little time. I would be heartbroken over losing a small Sebie. In my book the Government is a bunch of criminals for doing this kind of thing. :grumpy:

That sucks I feel sorry for you, as a one hand opening knife is not exactly the worst thing you could carry is it. I know auto's are banned in England which is a pain but I can live with it but the legal carry length is 3" so all of my knives are "uncarriable".

I hope my SOCOM dosent tfet destroyed when it enters the country (if it ever turns up) i will be gutted:eek:

How many of y'all think the Danish Customs were lying when they said it would "be destroyed"?

That biyatch is riding in Hans' front pocket.:D

not sure how it works in Denmark, but did they offer you the option of returning it to the sender? could you get that option? it would be such a waste to destroy such a knife?

on a separate note, how did they find out that it's a locking knife? usually, it's because the sender wrote the word "knife" or "blade" on the customs declaration. Did you tell the sender not to write the word "knife" or "blade"?

they could send the sebbie to me!

Sorry to hear that Carl, it is increasing apparent that the government is as criminal as criminals are in much of Europe.
