Lost Mountain Iron Works big knife sheath

The sheaths are completely reversible. The only thing set is the placement of the snap on the extra retention device (which is removable). If the snap is an issue I can build one reversed for you. Not a problem at all. Hope this helps.

Thanks Charlie sound good to go appreciate it.

Would it be reasonable to get the Kydex insert fitted to
your particular knife? Say I want a B11 sheath, can there
be a Kydex insert molded by the B11 that will go with the
general sized sheath? This is always an issue with general
fit sheaths. Of course this would mean they would have to
get their hands on the different blades.......

When I spoke to him on the phone he said they are trying to get at least a piece of bar stock that is the same thickness as the B11 so that the fit is good enough you don't need a handle strap.

Can't wait to get one.

This response has been more than we could of hoped. It is really cool to see people appreciating a new product. We are trying to finalize how to organize something on this scale. Please keep in mind we are a very small company. And while I would love to snap my fingers and have a couple hundred of these sheaths pop out - that just isn't reality. On the other hand we are super critical about our quality and refuse to send them out of the country just to increase the speed and pay a non-American for their efforts. From someone that lost their job last year and had a chance to reinvent what they do I am committed to seeing this through. It will take some time. Bare with us just a little while and we'll come up with a plan. Thanks so much for your interest. We look forward to talking to each and everyone of you. And when I say we I mean all two of us - my wife and I. Thanks again for all the support.

Charlie,,, Thats all we could ask for!!!,,, this sounds like a win win for Lost mountain and the Busse family,,we all sure appreciate the effort!!! Cant wait:D:D

Wow, looking great & useful!

Any chance you could send one or two overseas (to Germany)?

Thanks and best regards,

l.

Charlie Morrison of LMIW has been in contact with the folk at Busse to get the accurate dimensions of various Bussekin blades. He has been very gratified by the overwhelming response shown in this thread. Fortunately, none of us has gotten impatient; so we can all wait in expectant anticipation of the forthcoming offer. A real Hog will understand if I say " Two Weeks!" :D:rolleyes:;)
