Lost my Emerson Horseman to the TSA...

I'd be gobsmacked if a TSA security agent could tell the difference between an Emerson and an M-Tech.

Most TSA couldn't distinguish the difference between a Emerson and a harmonica...
Sorry for your loss.:grumpy:

Hell many can't distinguish between a prohibited item and permitted item.

In my travels I've seen some crazy things...one airport allowed an older lady to carry on knitting needles, but confiscated a guys nail clippers.. Then at another place sitting at my gate and watched a guy pull out a fixed blade blade around 3" and began slicing up his Apple...needless to say it was only a matter of minutes before he was escorted away, but he made it thru security without anyone noticing a fixed blade in his back pack.

replacing your Emerson, you have to get another Emerson.

If you haven't checked out the sheepdog, it's amazing:

They let you mail it home. They might not tell you that to your face. But that is always an option. And with a $150+ knife, it'd have been well worth the $15 to ship it back to your home.

That said, my favorites are the CQC-15 and the Spyderco PM2.

TSA stole my buddies Swamp Rat Camp Tramp. As part of the plea, he had to relinquish the knife.

Supposedly anything over 3 or 4" (can't remember which) found in your bag while trying to get thru the security check point the tsa agents are suppose to notify airport police immediately and detain you.

I think I have seen your knife being offered for sale on ebay by TSA agent, this seller has store with TSA in the name, and he has hundreds of knives for sale, you should check it out!
He is a true capitalist, he has great racket, why waste perfectly good knives when you can just resell them at 100% profit!

I was returning from the SHOT Show in Vegas one year and, as is typically the case, my luggage was right at the limit or perhaps slightly overweight. When the ticket agent told me I was a few pounds over I took some dirty clothes out of my checked luggage and stuffed it in my very heavy carry-on backpack ... good thing they never weighed that!!! ;)

So I get to Thousands Standing Around (TSA) and darned if I didn't leave my Emerson SOCFK in my RF dirty jeans pocked which was not in my backpack!!! &*)%^%^*!$<>?:confused::rolleyes:

Sooo, it just so happens that hey have this jiif-whammy shipping kiosk thingy right next to the TSA checkpoint - imagine that. Some $15 or $20 later, I get through TSA and my knife is in this jiif-whammy shipping kiosk thingy right next to the TSA checkpoint. Well, about a month later ... I kid you not, my SOCFK arrived.

Sorry about your loss ... not get yourself a new Banana Knife then go and sin no more.
