Lost my pm2. What to replace with?

PM2 because it is such a useful and well-made knife.
Mili if you haven't tried one and want to discover the benefits of a longer blade.

I really don't think the pm2 is replaceable if you like it. I've not tried as many knives as a lot of the folks on the forum but I'm up to around 100 pocket knives at this point and the pm2 is pretty damn unique. I say go get another one!

The orange PM2 is easier to find when dropped than the black model is. The camo PM2 is harder to find if dropped outside. Go for the bright color.

Sorry to hear about your loss? Buy another Para 2 before withdrawal symptoms start to set in knife DTs , hand shaking , lack of concentration etc etc:D As others have mentioned and rightly so the Benchmade 940/943 and 710 are all fantastic and worth having but at the end of the dayTHERE CAN BE ONLY ONE Para 2. Living the dream , Faron.

Also, where is a good spot to buy in canada. Exchange rate sucks right now. I have used kutters here in ottawa and warriors and wonders. Any others to be aware of?

This knife world is an addictive, pricey bitch

There is a Canadian Exchange here on BF so you can buy from BF members in Canada and not have to go through cross-border shipping. I don't know what's posted there right now, but it might be worth keeping an eye on it.

You know the Spyderco faithful here would recommend replacing a pm2 with another pm2, "only option" right? And that's fine, if you really love your pm2 the way they do...

But, my question is, if you did in fact love your pm2 that much, and lost it, it would be a no brainer that you'd buy another one, but since you're here asking what you should buy to replace it, i wonder did you really love it that much in the first place or did you always feel deep down that you wanted something else???

Philosophical question for sure, but one that you should seriously ponder...

I got a handful of knives in rotation that if I lost them, it would be a no brainer I'd replace them with the same knife, I have others that if I lost, I would chalk them up as a loss and move on...
I've handled the pm2 with all the hype it generates, and thought to myself, a fine knife for sure, great fit and finish, but it just didn't do it for me...

The decision is yours... All fine options you're considering.

Went for a walk with my son this morning as a last look. And look what we found! No where near where I thought the knife would be but found it we did. Happy happy day!

Sweet...!!!

Happy for you. So now the question lies, you already have a pm2, what knife do you get next!? ;)

Great, now you can get that "other knife" you were thinking about buying to replace your PM2, just for back up.

Good job... Now you can get another knife as your back up....

Just think if you were a random guy and found that... you be like sux for the guy that lost it but SCORE!

Awesome - now reward yourself with a 940 :)

I just ordered one (should say another one) myself - should be here tomorrow.

I have thought s fair bit and I think I will try out a 940.

So glad to have my pm2 back though. It fits my hand so well.

I just noticed tonight it is lighter than my leek

If I lost my PM2, the only suitable replacement would be a better (sprint run?) PM2. Congrats on finding yours!

Congrats on finding your PM2!

I don't know about all that 940 talk, but you might wanna look into a Spyderco Manix.... several handle and blade steel variations and 2 sizes.

It's ruined. Send it to me, I'll pay the s/h, and then get yourself a new one.
