Come on, it was said in jest. If he really wanted to see, I would have sent to him privately.No. Solicitation is against the rules here.

At least you saw her true colors before making the mistake of marriageWas a girlfriend not a wife, and lease was up at apartment. IF I had recourse, I would have done it. Thanks though.
Better more budget friendly option:You need to ditch that coat.
I know the feeling, the panicked crazy feeling.
Bits to story - I made a good living, shy of 100k for last few years I worked. Started collecting but only actually touched a few knives. I've been disabled for last three years and the insignificant other couldn't deal with it, so I had to move in a short time frame, with no income. With that all being said...
I had just a few more boxes to move out into my enclosed trailer. Upon returning the next day around 10am to move rest out, I didn't see my knives boxes, two of them. The ex had in her mind that I wasn't out quick enough and had graciously helped me by taking my collection to work dumpster, that was emptied way before I arrived.
Sick to stomach isn't even enough to say how I felt. This was beginning of October 2020. I lost EVERYTHING in one fell swoop, homeless AND knifeless! Nothing like trying to survive in Northern Michigan woods, without a single blade to bushcraft with.
Glad those of you that "lost" your knives, eventually found them and those never found, may they rest in peace or rust as it may be.
You can call it whatever makes you sleep better at night. I shared MY story, like everyone before me, and I'm sure everyone after me will do.
Again, not asking for a handout or sympathy for my situation. This isn't "whos story is the best", its sharing your story with fellow knife lovers. This is just ridiculous I have to defend myself for something I shouldn't have to! Don't believe me, skip my post, pretty simple.
I get the need to be skeptical about gifting anything to someone new, I once had money and helped less fortunate people, or so I thought and got burned. It is for good reason that @marcinek and @marcus52AR are suspicious of your post. No need to be all rude and uptight. Im a skeptic also...as I have gifted before to “new” members and never heard or seen posts from them again. Not saying you are doing this, we are just careful. If your story is legit, so sad to hear. Keep your head up.
Welcome back to the forum. What knives did you loose in the boxes?
My story..I was cutting up carpet with my CRKT Pillar and noticed that I didnt have it anymore. Looked around the jobsite high and low...no knife. Dawned on me that I may have rolled it up in the carpet and threw it in the dumpster. Checked and found it was so, my utility knife was in there too! (Facepalm).
Good thing I didnt have the dumpster picked up that day...it was pretty full.
I wish you all the best hope your luck changesI get the need to be skeptical about gifting anything to someone new, I once had money and helped less fortunate people, or so I thought and got burned.
I dont agree with "dont be all uptight", nobody had to say anything or believe me, they could just not acknowledge my post. Just imagine for a moment if you will, you became jobless because of a disability, were then rejected by a lady because of that AND became homeless. You THINK you should fit in with fellow knife people, since that's one of your likes in life. THEN you are called out for absolutely nothing you said, no begging or asking for anything, just sharing on a thread about knife loss, AND you're a liar.
Let's make it clear, I dont want anything, from anyone, not even sympathy for being homeless. I just wanted to share my own story, on a thread that is in line with my story, and nothing more.
Yes I'm a little defensive, you would be too under the exact same circumstances.
Hopefully this will just pass with time and when I'm back on my feet, I won't have to feel attacked by people that SHOULD be fellow knife people.
Had a few ZT's, a few older spydercos my dad gave me as a teenager, maybe 3 or 4 Benchmades, I small pile of Kershaw i bought off snapon truck, two older EK's fixed blades and a bunch I cant remember for sure. I lost more than I can remember, but I have goal to restock a collection when I'm back on my feet.It is for good reason that @marcinek and @marcus52AR are suspicious of your post. Its apparent I was wrong about having an account, there wasn't any recovery for my email, which I've had since Gmail was a invite only. So yes I'm technically new around here. IF I had an account, I hadn't logged in for at least 6-9 months.I’m just pointing out that BF is always like this and skeptics are nothing new. You said you had a BF account before, so I figured you would already know this would happen.
Good luck on your new collection, a clean slate can be a good thing.![]()
I assume the lanyard caught on a branch and the knife just slipped out of the sheath. I like to think it is still dangling in the wilderness someplace.
