Beautiful collection Lehog!

I have a few and love them all!!!! ;)

Nice collection! I have several myself and find them to be a useful design. OH

Stupid tapatalk sent before I could finish my post. My favorite knife beside busters. Nice collection

Great pics of some cool examples of a favorite pattern, leghog:thumbup::thumbup:
My first knife was a Colonial Forest-Master that I got about 55 years ago, and I'm still drawn to scout knives and their variants.

Outstanding!

I keep holding out for the day that GEC does a Scout knife, or A.G. Russell does another run.

Those are some nice ones, leghog.

A few of my scout/utility knives (except the one in the middle in the first picture is a GEC 68 White Owl)

mmmm, love that boker  The scout knife has always been a favourite of mine, being the first real knife I ever owned. I sadly do not have a proper traditional design as my Camper has replaced the other but i really do love these fine examples you gentlemen have. I especially admire that Camillus classic cartridge with the sheepsfoot blade on it. Any more information on that one?

Still have my official Boy Scout knife from 60 years ago; an Imperial with plast-stag handles.
Also have several early and current SAKs. Love the basic tools in them. Nice collections.

Mine are only modest, but both Red! RR and Schatt&Morgan, stainless.

Few years ago, Weidmannsheil Germany offered a nice looking Scout Knife, some were Green Bone others Ram's Horn I seem to remember, carbon steel.

Thanks, Will.

I keep looking at the picture above with the GEC #68 in it and thinking "All you need to do is add a caplifter, a can opener, and replace the pen blade with an awl...."

Rescued from oblivion (aka Dad's desk drawer) last month. With his permission, of course. 1960s I'm thinking. Finish on the blades looks brand new. Western.

I grew up carrying Ulster Boy Scout knives and they have a very dear place in my heart.

Sadly, the pattern no longer has any appeal to me as an EDC carry. The tool selection made a lot of sense during the first half of the 1900s, when leather straps and canned foods were a constant reality for outdoor life.

I've come to see modern versions of the basic 4 blade camper as nostalgic reproduction pieces. That has it's place in terms of collecting.

I would be much more interested in seeing GEC (or somebody) do a traditionally styled 2 spring camper with updated tool selection:
1) Spear main blade
2) cap lifter/regular screw driver
3) folding scissors
4) diamond file/regular file/2 blade phillips head driver

Maybe Bladeforums could move the needle by commissioning this for the 2015 knife.

In this vein I note that Case has the tooling for folding scissors.
