Love the Scout Knife

Here is a pre-1947 Schrade. It is still in pretty good condition.

What a fine example! Nice one, TR!

Scout knives are one of my favorite patterns, here are a few, 2 Camillus and a Crucible Knife Co.

It really is.

Thanks all for the kind comments; the pic was no doubt professionally done. I did not take the pics but do own the knife and it is for real, undoctored by anyone. I had to sell one kidney and my left hand to get it. I am afraid to touch it without the cute little white cotton museum caretakers' gloves. Never had a Queen this safe, before.

I just received this Camillus Cutlery Co. Knife its a camp knife. I tried to look for it online couldn't find one without the emblem on the bone handle. I just buffed out all the scratches and oiled it and took the gunk out of the hinges

I got one of them to show. Couldn't figure out the link to the other.

I keep holding out hope that Northwoods or GEC will release a scout pattern. Are you listening, Derrick? Hint, hint :)

Scouts have been around for a long time but never cease to catch my eye at various knife shows!

Here's an Ulster made for Sears. Probably made in same Ellenville, NY plant as your Schrade Walden. Ulster 114/Craftsman9549

I just refound my Ulster Craftsman #9549 today in my fishing bag. Certainly not a shelf queen, but as handy today as it was when new.

Perry, is the second from the right a Colonial Forest-Master? That was my first knife, probably in 1960, and basically my only knife until about 14 months ago. Here's a couple of shots of mine:
Just laying around, looking good

Still a working knife 55 years after I got it

The scout is my all-time favorite pattern. My very first knife, 40 years ago, was a Diamond Edge scout. Here's a pic of a really old bone handled Craftsman scout. I'm guessing that it was made by Ulster Cutlery.
