Love Thine Enemy

I agree with that phrase, at least. I have also researched a few Mexica 'facist' orgs that do list their agenda as a sort of US takeover by immigration-invasion, and they do include not 'integrating' as other folks emigrating to the US in the past have done.

Am I worried, nope. Tex and parts of CA were theirs once...what's more likely is that we'll get a hispanic population sympathetic to making parts of Mexico the 51st state, like the Romans making all of Gaul into a Romanized state. Wealth, security, and prosperity tend to spread to folks looking to get these wonders of civilisation, not the other way round. That folks still come here for asylum points to the US still being a big contender, and a power for a wile to come.

I think outsourcing production/industry and spreading our armies thin around the world will shoot us in the foot faster than any 'racial takeover.' The Romans could attest to this.

Hi, Munk;

You wrote, "Anyone who has ever lived in a border state with Mexico is usually against illegal immigration."

Me: True. When you get two or more states from the border, then suddenly no one cares about it, including Washington, D.C..

You: "as for America, the Land of gluts, if we stopped consuming, the world's economy would collapse, hurting particularly those emerging third world nation's with their cheap labor markets. So every issue is never simple."

Me: That is absolutely true.

You: "For the cost of war- illegal immigration spends a great deal of our money. It was once true that illegals brought more than they took; no more, with health care, education, and other costs."

Me: Also true. The only taxes that illegals pay in California are on such things as gasoline, or sales tax. They not only rarely pay income tax, even when they are taxed, their tax brackets are so low that what little they pay doesn't even show on the radar scope.

I don't recall the exact number, but a number of studies I've read places the net cost of illegals here in California to the tune of at least four BILLION dollars, and as much as eleven BILLION dollars. These are the costs associated with education, social welfare programs, medical care, additional law enforcement resources and several other financial wounds in the California economy.

What bothers me is that one can't even raise the issue without being branded as a racist.

I understand why illegals try to make their way into America. I do indeed. But there is a reason why countries have immigration limits - whenever you infuse a large number of people from one area, at a certain demographic level, at a greater rate than the economy can absorb them, you create a lot of problems at not only the social level, but the economic level as well.

When you see the very drastic and negative change in California's economy in the last fifteen to twenty years and correlate that to the illegal alien influx there can be no mistaking it.

You: "Actually, the War on Drugs spends more of our money yet; I'd like to see that ended."

Me: Yeah, me too.

What really settles this, er uh, toasts the squirrel's nuts, is that MEXICO closes its Border to the South, keeping Guatemalens (sic) from immigrating. Why? Because they are known to be a honest and hardworking people, taking the jobs away from Mexicans. Not many Americans realize this- what is wrong with our media outlets that this is not widely understood?

And now both the Republicans and Democrats pander to the Hispanic vote, so we have no chance of reform

We haven't mentioned this makes a mockery of all those from Europe and Asia who attempt to legally immigrate- penalized for obeying the rules.

One of the few things I actually whole heartedly agree with Bill OReilly is the neccesity for sealing our border with Mexico- with Troops. Unfortunately, Bill wants to keep the WOD going forever.

I would like to pull troops out of those portions of Europe better protected by the French and Germans. I would also like to make sure HK does not get the military contract for the new carbine.

We can take note of these things if I'm ever appointed supreme commander.

Ferrous, wherever you live was once owned by someonelse- lets do a DNA check, find out who their heirs are, and kick you out into the street when you belong.

Let's bring back the Dinosaurs. That's fair, isn't it? Perhaps we should bring back the Great Inland Sea, too. I've always been fond of Plankton- they were here first, weren't they?

The idea of annexing Mexico has occured to me. We'll see.

I agree. If I were the president of the United States, I would mobilize the entire 1st Air Cav and 82nd Airmobile Division, and every Air Cav company out of every stateside US Division, and I'd have them patrol the border with helicopters, and every time we picked up something near the border I'd require that an entire heli-borne infantry company swoop down and encircle the "bogey", and then round up the illegals and arrest the "coyotes".

The illegals? Dump them back across the border. The "coyotes"? Well, maybe I could always hope they'd try to shoot their way out...........

Every year there are incidents where the Mexican Army shoots at our Border Patrol.

Undoubtably elements of that army are in the payroll of 'coyotes' and drug trafficers- like our own Border Service.

Look, we gave the Panama canal back to Panama, right? How about we give California back to Mexico. And then seal off the border.

We could throw in NY and MA.

But a better idea would be to succeed from the Union. Let the two seaboards and whoever wanted in stay- let the middle states go.
