By the way, that CPM S30V's a pain to finish huh? I recently made a Santoku out of that stuff and it took a long time to put an edge on it!!

Yes it is ! Tougher than heck , but worth the effort . I really like some of the CPM materials , they truly are everything they're all cracked up to be

I hear ya dr , but I still love 5160 too :thumbup: . In fact a couple of my favorite "personal cutters" are 5160

I like 52100 and 5160 and 01 but this time I wanted the S30V.
