I found this site and thought that it might be of general interest, even to those who do not wear glasses but who may get eye strain at the computer.

The man sells items that can't be purchased in the drugstore:
reading glasses from +0.25-2.5 power, computer glasses (+0.25) for people who do not wear glasses/ people who wear contacts.

He allows the customer to combine different powers, a different one in each eye, in the case of the reading glasses. And he sells the frames separately.

Here's the order page;

I don't have any affilation with this person but I do plan to try some of his glasses.

Sadly at 49 I have found myself using reading glasses. A recent eye exam showed that past 18 inches or so my eyesight is about perfect but under that distance I do have problems focusing...thanks for the link...

We're about the same age so I know what you are up against. BTW I did email him with a question and got a prompt response. Let me/us know if you get any glasses, the more feedback the better.

He also has a lot of information, links about this subject on his site, educational.

Have you had pleasant transactions with that dealer, or only looked at his website?

A bunch of us have been buying from www.zennioptical.com with pleasant experiences. They will make up any prescription you want; any of the online dealers will do that.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …
