Hello all,
I was at 3 local Lowes today they all had a good amount of their knives marked down.
Leatherman, Case, SAK, Kershaw, and Buck were all really marked down.
Just thought I let Yinz know.

Good thing I didn't post the deal I saw on Ginzu knives with custom Mighty Putty handles.

I am going to lowes today anyways...I will check out what they have. Thanks!

Sorry didn't realize their was a rule against that.

I don't think there is, because there's a huge thread on a cheap Walmart knife here for months. I don't see the difference in saying you can buy this from Walmart for X amount, or saying lowes has knives cheap a mod might disagree.

Where is the Walmart thread?
If someone asks, in Feedback / GBU, then you can answer. But bringing up a good deal is giving a non-paid member a reference is free advertising.

no prices given not deal shopping?
figures. I can't go to Lowes until I take some home time (or get a load there?) and even if I could, no "extra" dollars or cents, anyway.

Its in General. Its about a line of knives that happen to be priced regularly at $4....discussing their quality (or lack thereof). No "sale" or "deal" heads up....they are just $4.

How big of a step is it to say, ok Walmart has this knife for less than 4 bucks and head to Walmart and buy one? Since only Walmart sells them and Walmart is constantly brought up, what is the difference?

Brand names are mentioned that supporting dealers carry. Lowes is not a supporting dealer.

What about Knife brands brought up if the manufacturer doesn't support BF.

Is Walmart? That entire thread is about what a great deal you can find at Walmart, on a knife only they carry. I reported it long ago and nothing was done, so I figured what's good for Walmart is good for lowes.

Please do not direct sales to a source which is not a paid Bladeforums dealer or maker.

This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care. If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.

(Of course, eBay isn't going to buy a Dealership here, neither is Amazon or other general sales points not appropriate for advertising.)

By the way, knifemakers or dealers do not include manufacturers. Manufacturers do not have to pay for membership here. You can reference them or their knives. In fact, in showing off a knife model, we advise linking to the manufacturer rather than an unpaid dealer.

Also, sometimes we get a report and miss it or ignore it for whatever reason. For example, it may be many pages long by the time we see it, and the knives involved may not be a big deal. Walmart? Not a paid dealer. $4 knives? No one is taking much business from paid dealers by discussing someone else's $4 knives.
