Lube drys fast

I've been thinking of buying the CRK grease. How well does it work on other knives like, say, axis locks and autos?

Also, do you HAVE to take the knife apart to use it?
That would make a big difference, especially since I don't like to take autos apart.

How can a CRK owner think that CR grease is expensive? When the knife is 300 plus dollars, 10 dollars for the lube that will protect the 300 plus dollar knife is priceless.

Are you sure the problem is in the pivot? I've found my knives also need lubrication on the detent ball in the lock bar. With the Sebbie barely open you can see the hole in the blade the ball detent slips into. I just put a tiny drop on the hole or directly on the ball detent (when the knife is almost locked open, the detent is accessible). If it is dry, the knife will really feel "draggy" on opening as if you're galling the blade with the detent.

Krytox grease - fully synthetic, food safe, waterproof, applied with tip of a toothpick on reassembly.

Price will make you fall down.

fulloflead, yes you have to take the knife apart to use the CRK grease in a knife pivot area. It is thick enough, that I don't think it will "inject" very easily into an assembled knife with tight tolerances. Hope that answers.

Thanks. I should be disassembling to clean anyway.
