For what it's worth, I just did a deal with wire edge and it went flawlessly.

^ +1 I too have had a couple of awesome transactions with wire edge. He's definitely one of BF's most trusted, stellar members!

What's the purpose of this, besides to cost him money?

^ My thoughts exactly!

OP did the right thing and took the high road by believing the buyer and offering to fix the issue.

That speaks volumes.

^ Yes it does!

I haven't heard from Luckylindy4, so we are in a hold pattern I guess. Please let me know what's going on, Lucky. I'd sure like to get this deal and PayPal claim closed and finalized.

I think you can reply to the PayPal claim and offer your settlement, refund in exchange for return of the knives. That is all they will do anyway if you do not respond or contest it.

^^^ This is the quickest way to resolve this matter. PayPal won't release funds to buyer till you confirm receipt of all four knives...

I received an email this morning from PayPal that the case has been closed and my funds were unfrozen. I haven't heard directly from Luckylindy4 though.

Roger (Wire Edge) is good people and I don't doubt for a second his account of events. There is no way that he would tarnish his longstanding rep on multiple forums by trying to scam someone for a knife, much less on such an inexpensive one. I hope this was just a misunderstanding and it gets resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

I attempted to post yesterday , but for some reason it didn't go up on the forum. First I wanted to thank all of the members here who posted insightful suggestions and positive educational comments. I have learned from this. For those who have slammed me by saying I'm B.Sing or trying to scam, I will never buying anything for you. I have never had a sour purchase on this great forum or any other site ( auction sites). As I read the posts from experienced members, it was clear in my inexperience I jumped the gun by filing a paypal claim. What I did was an inappropriate action at the time. I have since voided the claim. I never would attempt to tarnish the sellers name on this public forum over a 40.00 knife. I' m still upset the seller tarnished my name here with his post 30 minutes after I filed the knee jerk reaction claim with paypal. I guess that is partially my fault for my inital action.

I'm a collector not a seller of knives. Maybe even an accumulator. From 40.00 discountinued production knife to 700.00 custom knives. It's the thrill of having something rare or limited edition that maybe many seek but only few have. It's exciting to get "that" special knife that others want and you have it. There are craftsman here who make beautiful works of art. They labor and but their heart into the craft of knife making so we can buy the crown jewel the titled Safe Queen. I do not have the talent and skills they have, but it's an honor to buy that pestigious knife. That's what makes this forum so great.

I hope most will understand I'm not a veteran here on this forum. Every buying experience here has been excellent except this bump in the road. I hope my public apology for snapping off a dispute claim shows I'm not out to profit ir scam anyone. That claim was voided shortly after the members here who mentored me in a positive way and shared their advise, insight and direction through their posts. Thank you.

Please remember, I didn't start this thread, I responded to the posting. I shot back mainly because of my pride in my reputation. I should have taken time to cool down and taken a deeper look at the minimal incident. Reputation means alot more to some, than others, to me it's a prized trophy of honesty and trust and good doings. I'm an honest buyer collector who is thankful for the invitation to use the site and forum.

I dont know if this will end the negitive comments about me the very few, but the missing knife is a mute issue. I want nothing, I have already lost more than the value of that knife. I really do want to thank the members who are the mentors here and posted helpful comments that guided me. You are the reason this Bladefourums is the great site it is..

I commend you for your response. I guess we will never know what happened to the missing knife, but I can say at this point I would not have a problem dealing with either party here.

Your post is still implying I only sent four knives, but other than that it sounds like you're keeping the Vics and we are calling this a done deal?

I realize this is an impossible thing to prove either way. I'd certainly like to put this behind us and continue on with our hobby.

You two probably should have tried to resolve this before coming to GB&U. As it stands right now, I would add you both to my ignore list.
