Luminox "Navy SEAL" watch - overpriced wannabe gizmo, or a good watch?

I've got a Stainless Luminox with the blue face and I love it. It's pictured here:

If you get a Stainless, take it to a reputable watch dealer and have the pins swapped out for Rolex pins (the pin swap cost me $12; well worth it). My Luminox pins blew out during the first week I wore it, but I haven't had a single problem since replacing the pins.
Prior to my Luminox, I wore a Casio G-shock Triple Sensor for 4 years. Great watch, but I much prefer my Luminox.

Hi Eric, who did the sheaths for your EKI La Griffe? I haven't had any trouble with my SS Luminox. The rubber bands must put less stress on the pins.

Dennis, I wish I had known that you had them earlier. It would have saved me $20. Your web site doesn't have any details. How do you advertise your prices and products?

Eric, do you think that the pins are the same in the 3602 ti version? Maybe I should get the pins replaced also.

Is "Eric Blair" you real name, or did your parents name you "George Orwell"?

Frank, the EKI Griffe sheath is the one on the left in the photo, and it's their standard production sheath with the exception of the black paracord which I added. The sheath on the right is for the Fred Perrin custom Buffalo Horn Bowie Griffe, and Fred made the sheath. The Perrin Sheath can be worn as a necker, or can be worn inside the waistband. The belt loop is detachable. It's a neat rig.
Axel, I don't know if Luminox is using the same pins on the 3602 that they use on the Stainless and standard versions, but I wouldn't take the chance. When those pins break you're watch goes flying; I'd get them switched out for the Rolex pins if I were you.
johnniet, the origin and/or authenticity of my name really isn't any of your concern, but by the sound of your name it seems that your parents were wishing for a girl; I hope that they got one.

Did Emerson change the sheaths of the La Griffe? The sheath that came with my knife looks different. Its like a little square with only one hole for the para cord.
thanks
