in short, more than 2 monthes have passed, still no delivery. Rob does communicate, reporting some troubles, but thats too long. I believe in his good will, just want to know your experience with him.

upd: I got my order by 17.12.09, case closed )))

Did they give you a time frame for delivery ?

It has this on the home page:

In Stock Meaning the actual torch is manufactured & ready to dispatch. However there could be a shortage of other components such as Chargers, batteries, locators etc. Lummi will respond to your order with a estimated lead time.

You WILL get your light!! I have ordered 4 from him, and the last batch took a long time. I DID get them all. Rob also always answered my E-mail when I wrote him too.

So it's been four months now? If you wish to continue waiting, do so but ask for a refund of shipping and a hefty disount.

If it were me, at this point I'd be asking for a refund and never order again.

Lots of excuses, still no lights ((

I would probably be looking for delivery of products or return of any money payed by this point.

What are the excuses ? is it blatant prevarication or is there a reasonable reason here ?

ive been told that's his supplier of recharcheable batteries who to blame.
could be, it this hard times, but if i wont see my order by september i report fraud.

I've had good experiences with buying from Rob. My orders from placement to receipt to the US are generally about a week.

Just a thought, did you order one of the standard lummi lights (NS, AL, Ti) which he normally has in stock or did you order one in damascus or silver?

Nevertheless, a few months certainly is a long time to wait.

I waited a long time for mine too. They did eventually get to me. Rob was great at communicating with me when I wrote him.

I ordered a Wee a few years ago, no problems.

One of the tritium vials broke a day or two later. I mailed to ask about a replacement, and didn't even get a response.

Good light, slightly ambivalent about the customer service.

5 months after an order was placed and still just excuses?
Supplier of rechargeable batteries is to blame? Was that his answer why it's taking forever? Maybe he should get a new supplier.

You have more patience than I. I have no problem waiting for something, but this seems ridiculous IMO.

I had a good experience ordering from Rob a few years ago. I did have to wait about two months IIRC. Some of the components in the Wee NS are pretty specialized. I have a hard time seeing a five-month wait for lithium-ion batteries, but I suppose it is possible.

I'm sure Rob is good for the money, but ordering from him does require an abundance of patience.

Thanks God its over. The lights are here (and two spare batteries, which is nice of Rob).
