I recently posted that I was interested in acquiring #47 in the Busse LE lines. Dr. Ken Lunde responded that he had #'s 43 through 47 in the ASH1 LE, and that he would sell #47 to me. He broke up the set in order to make it available to me. He did this simply to help me get what I was looking for. If you've ever seen the size of Dr. Lunde's knife and/or gun collection, then you know he did not sell the knife to me out of a need for money.
I had told Dr. Lunde that I really wanted the knife, and would pay whatever price he wanted. He could have stuck it to me (no pun intended) in naming his price, but instead, he offered the knife to me at a very reasonable price.
Dr. Lunde went out of his way to help me get a knife that I wanted. There was nothing in it for him - he did it strictly to help me. In my eyes, this totally selfless act make him a class act, and a true representative of what this hobby is all about.
