I just got word from Darrel that the m390 HTM Gunnies have started shipping to knifecenter. These are a knifecenter.com exclusive.

Do you know if they will be available with Satin blades and manual flippers?? I see the assisted satin blades are preorder...

How much do these weigh? I am interested but I don't need another brick-like folder that just sits in the drawer because its too heavy to carry.

Aluminum handled, so pretty light weight. I'll get out my scale later today and weigh it.

I had to get one. The fact that they ran the m390 at 62 is awesome. It will outdo any production knives using this steel. I believe spyderco milies have been coming in at 60+ . These gh are 62 ,pretty awesome pushing the steel to optimization

Definitely not too heavy to carry. Mine hasn't left my pocket since I got it, pretty much. Heck, I even ran a 5K with it clipped in my pocket, because I forgot it was there.

So I sent a question about a Satin Blade Maxx Glide M390 GH to knifecenter and received a response saying they planned to add that item for pre-order in a couple weeks. Glad I held out.

I preordered a long time ago. Still waiting on it.
KnifeCenter is really bad about taking far more pre-orders than they can hope to fill, especially on sprint runs/limited editions. It's especially strange/inexcusable that it would happen on this knife, though, since it's their own dealer exclusive which, as per the info on their product page, is limited to 30 pieces per configuration.

Aw, really? So they have all shipped? I am going to cancel the order, I guess.

I'm pissed. I leaped over there and put in my order the second I saw the alert go up in these forums. I don't think I will be ordering from that vendor in the future.

Wonder if it's no too late to get in on the forum Gunhammer.

Yeah, I tend to avoid KnifeCenter unless the item is listed as "in stock" at the time I order it. I much prefer to pre-order with places like GPK and Howe's Knife Shop that limit their pre-orders to a number that they're certain they'll be able to get.

Having said that, I don't know for sure that the M390 GHs in whatever configuration you ordered have all shipped. I was just mentioning that as a likely explanation since I've lost count of the number of times that I've seen people on the forums in similar situations to yours: not having received some high-demand knife that they pre-ordered from KnifeCenter (e.g., one of the popular Spydeco sprint runs, high-end Kershaw/ZT pieces like the Tilt or any of the Hinderer collabs) in the expectation that, because the pre-order list was still open when they ordered, they could expect to get one. So before cancelling the order, you might check with KnifeCenter and/or HTM to confirm that they've all shipped; if you got your pre-order in as soon as you saw the alert on the forums, maybe you did get in in time (although, as I recall, the KnifeCenter newsletter had the announcement that pre-orders were open somewhat before the knives were actually being shipped to KC and Hark started this thread announcing the knives were en route).

Lastly, the list for forum Gunhammer is still open -- although only for another day and a half (11:59 p.m. Pacific time on July 31) -- so if you want to get in on one of those instead of or in addition to the M390 KnifeCenter knife, you still can.

Got a response from Knifecenter telling me HTM/DDR is in the process of fulfilling a second order of these knives for them--can anyone there confirm this?

Edit: Nevermind. I am cancelling this Knifecenter order and going in on the forums Gunhammer.

Not sure if this question was directed at me, but Hark and I don't work for DDR/HTM. We're just fans/users of DDR/HTM knives who also happen to have become friends with Darrel after meeting him at shows (and thus talk to him a more often than the average collector ;) ).

The surest way to check would probably be to shoot Lisa of HTM an email. I'll PM you her email address. That'd definitely be good news if KnifeCenter is getting another batch of them, though; the stated production number of 30 in each configuration seems like far too few given the popularity of M390.

Hopefully I dont get spanked for this but I spoke to Darrel at the AG Russell Knife Event and he mentioned a second shipment going to KnifeCenter.

SHHHH!! no one know thats lol just kidding i have no clue on a lighter note thou HARK ANSWER YOUR EMAILS!!!!! ...please ^_^
