m390 HTM Gunhammer!

I will ask about the thrust bearings. Also, no pics this weekend, sorry. I'm reprofiling the edge on this demo model to where I get most of my knives. 12.5 degrees per side. I also want to try my hand at putting a mirror polish edge on it. :D That's in addition to another project I have going: home made tumbler for cleaning spent brass.

There will be a manual versions with thrust bearings at some point. I was not informed if Knife Center would have them. Darrel's pretty cryptic most of the time. heh.

Still polishing. On 1200 grit stone. Then I have 1400, 1600, and two strops. These are Wicked Edge stones on a shop made system that's similar to the Wicked Edge. It works damn well so far. Sharpened all my Global kitchen knives.

We are working on the FIRST of a new M390 project at DDR customs today.
There has NEVER NEVER NADA been any steel like we are going to intro on a knife before.
I will keep you posted .
Don t want to spoil the surprise!

These will have to do til I get out my DSLR. Just been really busy as of late, but I promised pics, so for now:

It cuts like a light saber. I couldn't get all the scratches out, but the edge is still pretty mirror like. Probably spent about a week and a half trying to polish them out using a ton of stones, each time going higher and higher in grit. EDIT: It's worth noting that this is a proto of the one knifecenter is getting, meaning stuff could change from now until then. I basically have it as a test bed for the m390.
