Im going with the BAS it looks like it will fit the bill.

Damn first timers are a real pain in the Beehind!

That's the BDC. I believe it is around 13.5 inches OAL. Same sort of compactness a 12" AK offers, but with a slimmer spine, and beautiful double fullers. The BAS you're getting must be good though, given that it's the second best selling HI model.
