Any possibility of doing a how to for you sharpen your machetes? I just use a mill bastard file at the same angle throughout the length of the blade.
 
That is a riveted handle Ontario, and no it hasn't loosened up.

I will eventually make a sharpening video but only if you'll still respect me in the morning. I do it by hand starting with the file, then sandpaper around the file, then a Ez-Lap stone (med?), Medium natural stone, and fine natural stone.

That hat is what the local cattle workers use often here in Central Brazil. Its made of old truck tarp canvas. I bought it to replace my OD bush hat and really like it. Mac
 
Thanks for that! I really like the using of the squared off spine to make fine shavings. Will have to give that a shot!:thumbup:
