I had a discussion with a guy who wanted a defensive knife. And I ran him through the options.

And one of them was the benchmade SOCP. Which I am not a fan of and think you can get heaps of better knives for less money.

But Benchmade have guys in high speed gear doing cool stuff.

So he wound up buying that.

And I realised some people don't really buy knives based on performance.

They are buying confidence.

So a thousand dollar knife with a great back story. Is the product some people are looking for.
