Mad for Micarta Picture Thread

Some absolutely beautiful vintage rag micarta (1960-70's) from Michigan on a new model skinner I have been working on in Magnamax...old meets new.

Some good looking material....👌👌👌........Dimensions please?!?!?!

The Micarta on this one and the larger 610 Rukus began to darken up almost immediately just from handling after I scrubbed both knives extensively. They've both gotten a bit blotchier since, but they've each got a lot of years and miles behind them, so they're gonna look the way they look and I'm really fine with that. I suspect they'll soon resume their former darker appearance as they both get carried and handled a lot.

The bead is mostly vintage Westinghouse canvas Micarta with Jade G10 ends capped with the same Micarta and copper separators and tube.

What blade is this?

It's the Spyderco Military2 CruCarta. That big-ass bead makes it look like a PM2, no?

Edit: The knots are double-wide large diamonds, which contribute to the illusion.

For some reason I'm having trouble tagging this post when editing.
