Ok, this is old school micarta from back in the late ‘70’s - early ‘80’s.
This thread has lots of beautiful knives, this is just an old, cheap, Parker Brothers.

It was a purchase. It is blackthorn, it grows in Ireland and the UK.

my frn chaparral , originally the plan was for fat carbon fiber, I even posted a poll on what type of scales thin or contoured.well that was an itchy debacle that ended in failure. I already had my homemade counterbores made and i figured I haven't seen any micarta chaps so ,I proceeded to hack my 3/4" stock to a heavy 1/8". I think I succeeded in burning out on micarta for a while, but I got em done
