There were some black / brown spots on the back of the scales that i couldnt get off. it was almost like they were dirty or something. is there a way i can avoid or fix that?

This does not get absorbed like mineral oil, etc.

Me likey!I was so impressed with the burlap scales from RC Bladeworks on my Deka that I ordered one for my battle blue Eklipse. Absolutely enjoy the scales and think it looks pretty darn good on the Eklipse. The Deka scales already have some nice character after minimal handling and use. Also picked up a Hinderer merlot micarta scale off the exchange (it's a bit thinner than the RC Bladeworks).
