Mad for Micarta Picture Thread

It's been a while since I've posted the Python here, but today's a Micarta Monday and I'm carrying the old snake after ordering a set of RGT Natural Canvas for my Kapara this morning. That Spyderco is one I've not been real enthused about since I got it and I'm thinking the new scales might improve our relationship. In the meantime...

I accidentally forgot about this thread. While I love wood, Micarta is my favorite handle material. It's just so diverse. The examples on this page alone run the gamut from burlap to linen, fuzzy to polished, awesome to exceptional. ❤️

While not on the same level of as what we've seen from ChazzyP ChazzyP or Wilfred17 Wilfred17 , today's carry for Micarta Monday involves an experimental "battle worn" finish I did with different grits of sandpaper. The project started with me knocking down the pointy corners of those scales and having difficulty in matching the original finish. Now I'm 90% happy with them. :)

Still with the green canvas after all this time! 😎 😂 Broaden your horizons my man! There’s SO many other things out there!
