What do you guys think?
I'm calling it the Bushbaby.

come on cough up the details,
blade length
blade steel
scale material
when can i have one
we gots to know

Very nice lines. The wood handle is too pretty to use.. What steal is it??? Sure looks as a knife that you can carry and use every day.. Very nice job. I love smaller knifes.

The blade is 3.25" long and the knife is 7.75 oal.
So it's smaller than a Skookum and not Scandi ground, but that was my influence.
That's what makes it a Bushbaby.
It's made of 3/16ths 1095 with linen micarta and brass pins.

that's just about perfect for an edc fixed blade. matched with a kydex sheath it'd be hard to beat with a stick. very nice. verrrrrry nice.

A very nice blade, especially that fine tip! my personal preferences would have it a bit thinner. Like 1/8th or so.

Great work!

The 3/16ths stock was mostly because it was just what I had laying around.:D
And with the higher grind it still slices paper like a razor, I figure it will provide more strength in the long run.

Thanks for all the great responses so far, I don't know what kind of sheath to do yet.
Leather or Kydex?

Also once I get this design tested a bit I will be offering some for sale.

I like it A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She looks nice. And I think she'd feel more at home in a leather sheath than in a synthetic one.

Great knife.I agree that you should keep it organic with the sheath.More in tune with nature.Again, great work.

nice little knife there. very sharp looking.

i like the sweep of the blade, and the fine tip. could we see a shot of the spine (handle contours)?

This would be one of the only fixed blades I would edc:thumbup: . For a sheath, how about leather with a kydex insert? Sorta best of both worlds kinda thing. Also love the handle. The micarta looks exactly like real wood.

While i like leather, in this case kydex would offer more carry positions and more security while maintaining ease of draw. but whatever it's a pretty sweet knife.
