Made a little Bushcraft knife.

The micarta is 1960s vintage Westinghouse from an old TV transmitter.
It's pretty hard to find and I only have a tiny bit left.

I've done a few knives out of it and wish I had more.

I think it looks great, I like the length. I'd love to see an in-hand pic.

Did you epoxy the slabs on, or just use the pins?

As this knife is intended to be a bushcraft knife, I decided to do a little test tonite. Here is a spoon I carved with it.

Just for fun I batoned the frozen Maple sapling down with it to obtain the wood for the spoon. The sapling wasn't very big, only inch and a quarter across, which explains the tiny spoon.:D

Here it is in my hand.

And here is a shot of the handle from the top.

I like kydex, but this knife just has that modern-but-traditional feel and it begs for a leather sheath. Maybe it's just the color of the scales. One with charcoal-ish black scales would be sweet with black kydex. The blade thickness doesn't bother me at all as you have a fine point and it can use the strength.

Cool on the source for the micarta-- kind of "fossil" isn't it!

I like the lines and it says, "GO TO WORK" all over. I would add a thing hole, but I'd keep it low key-- don't want to ruin those lines. If I commissioned one, I would ask for a little jimping for my thumb where it lands on the spine.

that is SWEET , like seriously dam good , pure function and beautiful for it ...
I like !
